TAFFY...

Yesterday’s Musing brought some great feedback.  Thanks to everyone that commented and sent messages, I appreciate every one of the messages.

Did you know that you can now go back and see the Musings, if you miss any, as they are posted on my new site www.EricVerdi.com under the Blog section.

I’ve got some exciting things in the works that I am working on developing to make the overall experience and business more congruent across multiple platforms.  Heavy into research now on what will be the best to integrate into my organization for long-term growth and success.

More on this in a minute…

On Monday, the boyz had off school, so it was a home day for them.  After playing Football in the morning and Soccer in the afternoon in pouring down rain on Sunday they were ready for a relaxing day at home.  Sunday, as mentioned here, was Anthony’s birthday and one of the gifts he asked for was a candy thermometer.

Well on Monday I come into the kitchen from the office as I hear a bunch of commotion and what do I see?

A f.ing mess.  Ingredients all over the place, cabinets open, stove cranking… I calmly ask Anthony what the heck he is doing.

“I’m making Taffy!”

Huh?  What?  Taffy, yes you heard me right.  So I ask him how he knows how to make Taffy.

“I searched it up on my phone and I’m following the directions!”

Fair enough.  He is right and through the eyes of a 12-year-old there is nothing you can’t do.  You just go to Google, go to Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and you find someone that has done it before and watch a video or look up a recipe and follow their blueprint.

It amazes me that adults try to make everything so difficult.

You analyze, then over analyze, then you ask your co-worker or friend if you think it is a good idea.  Then you lose momentum and you don’t do anything.  Whereas a 12-year-old researches and implements.

This brings me back to where and what I’m studying for our organization.  I’ve tried to make it too difficult, so I’m back to researching with the help of some amazing friends and entrepreneurs across the globe led by Ryan Fletcher, my friend and founder of ImpactClub®, how to best build an organization.

But, we are studying those in the real estate industry, because that model is broken.  There is a reason why over 90% of agents that get their license never make it to their renewal of their license 2 years later.

No, we are looking outside of the real estate industry to figure out how successful business have been built and have become sustainable.  Clickfunnels, LadyBoss, Crossfit, Vaynermedia, WakeUpWarrior, and many others.

There is a formula, there is a blueprint that each has used to gain a foothold in their respective industries and we are looking to transform our businesses that include real estate, mortgage, podcast, (all boiling down to Media and controlling your message and your narrative).  I’ve become good at controlling our message and creating content over the last 6 years, but unlike those above I was not thinking 5, 10 years out.  I was thinking 2-3 months out.

We are in the process of building sustainable businesses.

I need to take a lesson from Anthony… ‘Search it up’ and implement it!

Cheers!!!
